From the very beginning, Kate set out to challenge the old notion of getting a shoe shine. After living in London and travelling extensively throughout Europe, she realised there was a gap in the Australian market for a professional yet flexible shoe shine service. Adding a contemporary spin on a centuries old trade was her vision but she wanted to offer shoe shining services to women as well as men .

Recognising that the love of shoes is not exclusive to women and the love of shiny shoes is not exclusive to men, Kate created a business to appeal to just about anyone who wears and loves their shoes . Shine shoe shine's popularity in the Melbourne CBD has caught the attention of press and employers alike.
